Memory of Abbas Kiarostami

SYNOPSIS

The day Kiarostami died on July 4, 2016 . My day of America’s Birthday celebration turned to the day of mourning for Kiarostami . That day about 11 pm, I was sitting on my porch looking at the half moon and the torch burning. Thinking of Kiarostami I filmed the torch and the moon . I sent that to my filmmaker friend Amir Naderi , who was a friend of Kiarostami and they started together in Iran almost 50 years ago . He called me and asked me to make more short films in Kiarostami’s memory . The rest you have to see. These short films , are made in his style . From number 3 on you even see a sign of Kiarostami. In one of them even you hear portion of the soundtrack of one of his short movies and in another you see a frame of his known film “taste of cherry” and it ends with his thought flying and going to the sky as “Thank You Abbas”
