Nepal American Film Society (NAFS) is a 501(c) (3) compliant non-profit organization based in Maryland whose mission is to bridge the world of arts and culture through cinema. The Film Society was founded by a group of media professionals, filmmakers and film enthusiasts in the United States. The Film society creates an international platform to promote film culture by organizing screenings, festivals, conferences, and exchange programs.

About Film Festival 2022

  • The NAIFF2022- Nepal America International Film Festival will begin with an in-person opening night, screening of the opening film, and meet and greet on Thursday, June 23 at Old Greenbelt Theatre, Greenbelt, Maryland.
  • Screening of the festival films will be available from Thursday, June 23 through Sunday, June 26 on Eventive.
  • Panel Discussions, Workshops, and Q&As will be hosted virtually. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during the zoom,  Facebook live.
  • The festival will close on Sunday, June 26, with an in-person Meet and Greet, the screening of the closing film – at Old Greenbelt Theatre, Greenbelt, Maryland.
  • Nepal America International Film Festival (NAIFF) is an annual film event organized by the Nepal America Film Society based in Maryland.

The festival showcases all genres of films including feature lengths, documentaries, animations, experimental and shorts from Nepal, America, and other countries. Films from the Global Peace Film Festival Florida are also screened in the Special Sidebar Section. Additionally, films from Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia are screened as DMV Close-up Section.
