SYNOPSIS

Sikha Mainbattiko is a film rendition of a poem by a celebrated Nepali male poet. The poem romanticizes three intimates times of a woman- her first period, childbirth, and her widowed stage. It does this from a distance, making assumptions using words like ‘As if” and “maybe”.
The short film is based on the same poem but since it is made by women, inevitably, the imagery comes out a little different.
