Min Bahadur Bham To Head Nepal America Film Festival Jury, Festival To Open With BULBUL

Third Annual Nepal-America International Film Festival to be Held in Maryland, United States on June 28 -30. This year the festival will showcase 15 movies from Nepal and others from United States.

‘Black Hen’ famed director Min Bahadur Bham to lead head of the Jury, while local film makers will get chance to interact with Mr. Bham, who recently had won $60,000 Sorfont grant in Cannes Film Festival last week.

Other Jury members are Rebecca Bustamante, Women in Film & Video (WIFV), DC and Mimi Machado-Luces, an Emmy and multiple Telly Award-winning producer, writer, director and President of TVA Media and TVA Productions, Ltd. (TVA).

The festival opens with the premiere of critically acclaimed ‘Bulbul’ and festival close with ‘Katha 72’. Writer and director of ‘Bulbul’, Mr. Binod Poudel will attend the event. Director Nabin Subba will conduct the panel discussion during the festival.

The chair of the festival Mr. Purna Sinbgh Baraili said “The Nepal America International Film Festival is a platform where filmmakers and film enthusiasts come together. They interact and they have exposure to diverse cultures through the cinema. And that is why we want to celebrate this year as well.’
